WARDOGS weapons: 37 at launch, the ones a source actually names, the one with a published stat card, and why there is no honest tier list yet
WARDOGS weapons are the biggest gap between what players search for and what anyone can prove. Search data shows 'war dogs weapons list', 'all weapons', 'best guns', 'best sniper' and 'tier list' as live queries; the developer has published no stat sheet; the community wiki's Weapons page reads 'TBA'; and the datamined lists on other fan sites carry 'unconfirmed' labels for a reason. This page lists only what a named source says — the launch count, the weapons named in official posts and the store, the single weapon with a documented stat card, the ammunition and scope entries in the changelog — and explains why a tier list built on anything else would be fiction.
Read dates: PCGamesN 10 September 2026; WARDOGS Wiki Bushmaster M17S page (edited 10 September); Season 1 changelog 9 September; Supporter Pack store page 13 September; PC Gamer 9 September.
The count: 37 weapons, three maps, 27 vehicles
PCGamesN's report on the Season 1 notes gives the launch roster: 'the 37 weapons, 27 vehicles, and three maps included at launch', and notes BULKHEAD does not plan 'regular content drops' on top during Early Access. BULKHEAD's own Q&A promises 'expanded weapon categories' by 1.0 without a number. So thirty-seven is the working total, and it is a press figure, not a developer one.
How those thirty-seven are bought is documented. Every weapon is a loadout purchase paid in cash each life; the base rifle is free ('you can purchase the base rifle from the vendor for nothing — it's only the ammunition that costs money', PCGamesN), and PC Gamer's cheapest loadout is 'the cheapest guns… the cheapest ammo, paper-thin armor'. Unlocks come by track level — the changelog moves the PP-19's drum magazine on the Medic track and the Deagle and AP ammunition on Career.
The one weapon with a stat card: Bushmaster M17S
The community wiki has exactly one weapon page with an infobox, created 10 September 2026, and it reads: Bushmaster M17S — slot Primary Weapon; price $0; fire modes Semi/Burst Fire; caliber 5.56×45mm; XP type Assault; category Assault Rifle. That is consistent with the press: a free base rifle, and an 'Assault' XP type that PC Gamer's beta notes and a launch-week Reddit thread ('Assault levelling takes too long') also mention. The M17S is a real-world bullpup rifle, and the Supporter Pack's 'Lonestar Branded Bushmaster Camo' ties it to the Lonestar faction.
No damage, rate of fire, recoil or range figure exists for it in any source. If a page shows you a damage number for the M17S, ask where it came from.
Ammunition is its own purchase and its own progression: the free rifle's ammo 'isn't much' (PCGamesN), and the two armour-piercing types the changelog names — 7.62×54 mm AP at Career 82 and 5.56 mm AP at Career 83 — are among the last Career unlocks published, sitting just below the Deagle at 85. Supply crates in the field sell ammo (PCGamesN's money guide), which is how a long life in the zone is resupplied without a trip home.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Slot | Primary Weapon |
| Price | $0 |
| Fire modes | Semi / Burst |
| Caliber | 5.56×45 mm |

The three faction starter rifles
The Supporter Pack's contents are the only official document that names weapons by faction: 'Valkyra Branded A-91 Rifle Camo, Lonestar Branded Bushmaster Camo, Manticore Branded KH-2002 Camo', described as camos for the three 'Starter Weapons'. Read with the wiki's $0 Bushmaster, that implies each faction's free starter rifle is different: the A-91 (a Russian bullpup) for Valkyra — 'aims to return the Soviet People's Republic to greatness' in BULKHEAD's lore line — the Bushmaster M17S (American) for Lonestar, 'the heavy-hitters in the Western paramilitary world', and the KH-2002 (Iranian) for Manticore, 'the Kingdom of Persia, Tehran's shadow army'. All three real-world rifles are bullpups, which fits a game that gathered its references 'firsthand in Georgia' and set itself in a fictional Eurasian conflict.
Whether the starter rifles differ in stats is not published; the factions have no published mechanical differences at all.

Every other weapon a source names
From the Season 1 changelog: the PP-19 (its '50 round drum magazine' unlock moved from Medic level 33 to 29 — so the PP-19, a Russian submachine gun, is a Medic-track weapon), the Deagle (Career unlock 90 → 85), '7.62×54mm AP' ammunition (Career 83 → 82) and '5.56mm AP' (85 → 83), and two Recon scopes: the '6-10x MRAD scope' ($40,000, was $25,000) and '6-10x MOA scope' ($45,000, was $30,000). From the changelog's artillery lines: '155mm, 122mm and flare deployables'. From PC Gamer's beta notes: binoculars at $75, resuscitators, bandages, the defibrillator at $1,600 with $150 batteries good for five revives, unlocked at Medic level 11. From a launch-week Reddit thread: the MP5 ('MP5 should start with 30rnd mags or give us the mag earlier' — a player complaint, cited as such). From the FOB builders' community guide: Halligan bars and C4 for breaching doors. From the changelog and PC Gamer: RPGs and rocket launchers exist ('Destroy apartment blocks with rocket launchers' is in the store description).
That is the complete list of weapons and weapon-adjacent items with a named source as of 14 September: two named rifles beyond the starters (PP-19, Deagle), two AP ammunition types, two scopes, three artillery deployables, and a handful of tools. Thirty-seven minus those is the number of weapons whose names have never appeared in an official or press source.

Ballistics, ricochets and the 950-metre shot
BULKHEAD's May 2026 devlog claims 'real-world ballistics, audio and flight models', and two achievements confirm the model does specific things: 'Ricochet' (kill an enemy with a ricochet bullet — 11.8% of players had it on 13 September) and 'Long Shot' (a kill from over 950 m — 2.4%). Bullets bounce and carry at least 950 m. Beyond that, no drop, velocity or penetration figure has been published; the 'Do Not Resuscitate' achievement (0.8%) confirms the defibrillator charge kills.
PC Gamer's description of the sniper's economy is the practical guide: binoculars for $75 pay 'a small cash prize immediately' per spot and 'an assist worth hundreds' when a teammate kills the target — a Recon income before you can afford a $40,000 scope.
Why there is no tier list, and what would make one
A tier list needs measured stats — damage per shot, rate of fire, time to kill, recoil — for every weapon, on the live build. None of those numbers exist in any BULKHEAD post, on the store, on the community wiki or in the press. Some fan sites publish 'TTK rankings' and 'best weapons' pages; where they state a method it is datamining beta files or extrapolation, and the better ones label the results 'Reported' or 'Unconfirmed'. The changelog itself shows why beta data is unsafe: BULKHEAD changed prices, levels, loadout sizes and turret behaviour two days before launch and says each season will reorder items.
This site's rule (from its source register) is that a statistic nobody measured does not appear, in text or in a chart. When a measured dataset exists — a BULKHEAD stat sheet, or a documented community test with method and date — this page will carry it with attribution. Until then the honest answer to 'best gun' is the free one, because PCGamesN's and PC Gamer's advice agrees: loot better weapons from the people you kill with it.
Camos and cosmetics
Weapon camos are earned, not bought — BULKHEAD's rule three: 'We will NEVER allow you to directly purchase camos, camos should show that a player has worked hard to unlock that item.' The one exception is the $12.99 Supporter Pack's three faction starter-rifle camos and Little Bird camo. Everything else comes through Gold Bars, exchanged from cash and spent in the Black Market. No camo list or unlock condition has been published.
What would change this page
A BULKHEAD stat sheet or an in-game stat screen documented by the wiki with a timestamp. A community test with a stated method (range, target, sample size) and date. A changelog line that names a weapon. Each will be added with its source and read date; the table above is the whole public record on 14 September 2026, thirty-seven weapons and twelve sourced rows.
